Play the Tape Forward

Nutrition, everyone knows they need to pay attention to it, but it may be our least favorite part about staying healthy. Choosing food and drink for optimal health can feel overwhelming, and let’s face it, there is so much information out there about the “right” and “wrong” foods, how we should time our eating, along with extreme diets such as keto, paleo, vegan, carnivore, etc.

This month we want you to take a step back and be honest about where you are at with your personal journey with nutrition. Is what your’e doing working? If you were to play the tape forward 10 years, would your nutrition choices have made a positive or negative effect on your overall health. Here are some categories to consider:

  1. Do you feel like your current habits are sustainable for the long haul?
  2. Are they producing the results that you want?
  3. How is your body composition?
  4. Energy levels and sleep?
  5. Are your hormones regulated?

If what you are doing is working and you’re hitting most of these checkpoints, then give yourself a pat on the back and keep going! If you recognize that you have been trying and are feeling frustrated with your nutrition habits, that’s ok too, but, why not take the next step and call in some help.
