11 Sep Nutrition Check In
We are three weeks into boot camp and we just have to know, how are those macros working for you? Have you been mindful of your carbohydrate, fat, and protein intake on a daily basis? If so, are you tracking them? How are you feeling during and outside of boot camp? When you’re trying something new (or even revisiting a past strategy), it’s important to hit pause and self-assess. Some questions that may be helpful to ponder include: What is working well? What has been challenging? How is the macros approach affecting my mood, energy, recovery and sleep? What am I enjoying about macros? What do I least enjoy about macros? Why am I doing this? Is there anything I can focus on for best results? This may seem like a lot of questions to pile into one blog post, but our hope is that providing you with these questions will empower you to pause for a second and revisit why you’re doing what you’re doing (workouts and nutrition) and how all of this is making you feel. Knowledge is power and learning as much as you can about yourself is valuable – because you’re worth it! If you have questions about macros, please talk to your coach or fellow boot campers. Additionally, if you feel like it’s time to tinker with the ratios, revisit our post with guidance on percentages and give a new spread a try! Exercise/Workout Spotlight: Battle Ropes It’s tempting, but don’t be intimidated by them. According to Evo Fitness, incorporating battle ropes into your workouts can provide notable benefits.
