20 Jan Meal Prep 101
If you are ready to jump on the healthy meal prep bandwagon – we’re here to help! Witan overwhelming gigantic amount of recipes available to you online, we would like to suggest a way to narrow the field and maintain variety in your meal prepping life.
Step one: list out the methods of cooking that you have available to enjoy. Once you know what you’re working with, you can decide what kind of rotation you want to incorporate with your meal planning. Some examples may include: stovetop, oven, grill, Instant Pot, crockpot, air fryer, etc.
Step two: find your favorite healthy recipe websites (one of mine: https://therealfooddietitians.com/recipe-filter/) and use the filter by cooking method feature that many websites utilize. This comes in handy when you know you’re working from home and want to throw something in the crockpot while you work. Or maybe you want a simple one pot meal and have an Instant Pot. Or one of my favs a sheet-pan meal to throw in the oven. So. Many. Options.
That’s it. Two steps that can provide you with plenty to think about and plan to keep things fresh in the kitchen. Once you find recipes you love, jot them down on a notes page or paper and make a list of fav meals by cooking method and your future self will thank you.
