Maintaining Healthy Habits

Maintaining Healthy Habits

You did it! Another session of boot camp is wrapped up and we’re grateful to journey and exercise through this unique season with you.

Merrium-Webster defines the word habit as, “a settled tendency or usual manner of behavior.” We all have our share of habits and one of the goals of Core Motion Fitness is to inspire and encourage boot campers to develop healthy habits to enhance your life inside and out. If you’ve developed a new habit that you’re hopeful will stick, here are 13 Tips to Help You Maintain Healthy Habits by Lexi’s Clean Living. The list is below, but details for each are in the full article.

  1. Be kind to yourself and celebrate victories.
  2. Make a plan.
  3. Just get started. Now.
  4. Try to accomplish less.
  5. Focus on the habit, not the result.
  6. Make sleep a priority.
  7. Stress management.
  8. Moderation.
  9. Surround yourself with people who encourage your goals.
  10. Lead by example.
  11. Meal prep.
  12. Have a back up plan.
  13. Learn how to swerve.

Workout Spotlight: The Fitness Assessment

You have had the chance to experience a fitness assessment with us at our first and last boot camp session. This assessment is a valuable tool to provide you with a straightforward snapshot of what you can accomplish in a few key exercise areas and measure your progress over our seven weeks of boot camp. Your coach/trainer chooses these areas or workouts – ie. 300 Workout or timed assessment.

Add-on: 10 burpees

Our progression: 10 push-ups, 10 squats, 10 mountain climbers, 10 lunges (each leg), 10 diamond push-ups, 1 minute plank, 10 burpees
