High Knee it into 2023!

It’s here! The home stretch of 2022! This week, we want to focus on the art of navigating gatherings with family, friends, and co-workers. Don’t worry, we’re not giving relationship advice. Today, we are specifically addressing how we can attend and enjoy holiday events with health and balance in mind. So let’s go:

  • Volunteer to bring food or a beverage. This is your opportunity to grapevine into the party with produce or a non-alcoholic mocktail or sparkly beverage. We already know the typical party pleasing foods and drinks will be in attendance, so teeter the spread towards healthy juuuuuuuust a little bit.
  • Scan the spread. Whether this is your first holiday gathering or fifth, we believe in balance and having a healthy relationship with food. With that in mind, browse the food and desserts being offered to gameplan how you want to fill your plate. 
  • Did Aunt Barb make her family famous (fill in the blank)? Awesome! You have the power to choose whether you want a serving of one dessert or maybe a small flight of a few sweet treats. 
  • Cheers and guess what?! Alcohol is not exclusively available during the holidays. It’s around all year long and so if you choose to imbibe, remember that this one gathering is not your only chance to drink up.
