Health: Reflection

We’re continuing the discussion about “health” and we have a big question to ask you this week. 

When you think about health as it is defined (see below for a recap from last week), what kind of health does your current lifestyle reflect? Good, fair, poor, etc. Another way to pose the question is what is the state or condition of your health with your current lifestyle? 

Merriam-Webster says:

Definition of health

  • the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit

“She is the picture of health.”

  • especially  : freedom from physical disease or pain 

“nursed them back to health”

  • the general condition of the body

“How is your mother’s health?”

“in poor health”

“enjoys good health”

  • a condition in which someone or something is thriving or doing well: WELL-BEING

“defending the health of the beloved oceans”

  • general condition or state

“poor economic health”

As life ebbs and flows we all experience periods when we are healthier or more motivated than other times. When you consider your current life stage and the lifestyle you are living, can you identify habits that are promoting good health versus habits that are stunting you from achieving your best health? What about your nutrition and exercise habits?
