If fuzzy goals are forgotten, then clarity must be the key ingredient to progress and success. In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to get busy and distracted causing our best intentions to become clouded. In an effort to gain visibility in the fog and discover what we really want out of each day, week, month, year, and life, self-reflection becomes necessary. And while you might not feel like you have time to pause and reflect, there are numerous academic studies that prove time spent reflecting is time well-spent.
Have you ever tried to sit still and reflect on a current circumstance or maybe plan for an upcoming circumstance in life? At times, it can be easy to gather your thoughts and gain insight and direction, but other times our thoughts can run away from us down rabbit holes of unrelated topics or even take us to the worst-case scenarios.

This week, we challenge each of you to pause and reflect on your goals, challenges, successes, and lessons learned. As you think about these things, dedicate time to exploring your biggest barrier to achieving your personal goals of utmost importance in fitness, nutrition, medical/health status or behavior modification. You don’t have to figure out the solutions and steps to these barriers all at once, but take a moment to identify and dig into this barrier and its surrounding parts.
